RUEGEN IN SPRING
In spring, the nature awakens and everything begins to blossom and turns green. Hardly any other coastal region in Germany located so low offers such a variety of natural beauty and landscape forms as Ruegen. Not only the coastal landscapes with chalk cliffs and sandy beaches offer the variety, but also extended Bodden landscapes or the interior part of the island with forests and nature reserves.
Spring is the season to explore Ruegen. The avenue roads are open to sun and provide the felling of how thick this green ‘roof’ in summer is. The Jasmund National Park is particularly worth a visit. Walk, for instance, along the cliffs from Sellin to Binz (about 3 hours). You will enjoy extremely attractive landscapes during the tour, and it can be combined with a ship trip from the Binz pier to the Sellin one.
