Luftaufnahme neuer Rügenbrücke mit Blick auf Strelasund - Pension Anker, Binz

Arrival by car

The island of Rügen is easily accessible from all German states. The distance from Berlin and Hamburg is about 300 km and from Lübeck about 250 km. Thereby, Rügen is connected via well-developed freeways and federal highways. From the freeway A 20 you drive to the exit Stralsund, then over the two-lane freeway feeder road to Stralsund. In Stralsund you will find the crossing from the mainland to the island via the large Rügen bridge.

The newly developed feeder road to Bergen on Rügen, is partly two-lane and therefore offers good opportunities for overtaking. From there it goes on to Binz. You can reach us in Binz from the direction of Prora as well as from the direction of Sellin. From the direction of Prora, however, you have a somewhat longer drive through the town, so it is advisable, especially in the high season, to take the town entrance from the direction of Sellin.
