Easter walk through Binz starting at Pension ANKER

Here you get a few picture impressions of an Easter walk through the Baltic Sea resort of Binz. As the Easter season usually falls in March or April, the temperatures at the Baltic Sea can still be fresh. Nevertheless, a visit to the island of Rügen at this time has its special charm. The warming sun during the day invites you to go for a walk or a bike ride. The Easter weekend marks the start of the season in the Baltic resort of Binz, so all shops, restaurants and sights are open.

Our walk starts at Pension ANKER / Ferienanlage Middel via the back exit at Schmachter See. It goes along the circular path of Schmachter See in the direction of the Binzer pedestrian zone, which at Easter weekend gives the impression that it is already high season. At the end is the Binzer Seebrücke (pier) from where you have a beautiful view of the beach promenade and the Binzer beach. From the pier, you go down directly to the beach in a southerly direction for about 1.5 km. The Binzer Strand ends here at the so-called Fischerstrand and the beginning of the steep coast towards Sellin. The view back shows the pier and the Binzer Kurhaus in the distance. On Easter Saturday, Easter bonfires are lit here along the beach and especially below the Kurhausplatz.
